Threatened macrofungi in Slovakia

Lizon, P. (Cornell Univ., Ithaca (USA). Plant Pathology Herbarium)

An estimated 30 % of 15,000 species of fungi are threatened due to environmental changes in Slovakia. The first edition of the Red-List includes 100 species of macrofungi. Taxonomic and long-term ecological research is urged because of the need for actual data on fungal biodiversity for conservation.
