The multiphase feeding system in meaty hybrid pigs

Animals (n=48) were divided into 2 groups according to feeding system (two-phase, multiphase), kept two per box. Diets and water were offered ad libitum to all pigs. In each group were subgroups of castrates and young sows. The fluent change of feed mixture (multiphase system) positive affects the productivity of castrates, especially in growing-finishing pigs. The feeding needs of young sows on the contrary are met with one finisher, which assures sufficient source of protein for further creation of muscles
