At the Experimental Farm of Fur Animals at the Research Institute of the Animal Production in Nitra (Slovakia) the health state of the farm-bred American minks, polar and silver foxes, nutrias and in the last three years ferrets has been observed. The health state of the animals was recorded, the distempered animals were clinically examined, the dead and slaughtered animals were dissected and judged from the pathological and anatomical point of view, and the samples were histologically, microbiologically and parasitologically examined.
