Determination of arsenic in foods

The consumer food basket in Slovakia was monitored for arsenic from 1993-1995 and the content determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. A low level of arsenic (0.012 mg per kg) was observed. Over the three years only one sample was above the permitted limit (orange, 1.61 mg per kg)
