Multiflowered mutant form of winter wheat FMA/H-duo (so called "duospikulum" - double-spiklet where on one node of spike there are double spiklets) with the genes of a high spike fertility of VSS-type (vertical sessille spikelets), was used as a mother in the cycle crossing with foreign varieties of normal types Partizanka nizka (Russia), Fundulea-4 (Romania), Slovak advanced lines SO-6673 and SK-5871-787. Hybrid progenies of F1 and F2 generations together with their parents were studied in field experiments. During vegetation ususal field observations were carried out and after the harvest plan analyses for the following characters were made: spikelet number per spike, grain number per spike, spike grain weight, thousand grain weight, and plant hight. From the results it follows that normal type of the spike, dominated in F1 generation. As for the productivity characters, there dominated maternal variety. Characters of a high accumulation capacity were inherited intermediary. In the progeny of FMA/SK-5871 combination, the positive transgressions were found out. For selection for higher spike accumulation capacity the combinations FMA/SK-5871 and FMA/Fundulea-4 seem to be the most suitable. In all the populations of F2 generation the plants with vertically placed spiklets were grafted in the amount sufficient for a higher accumulation capacity selection. Correlations were found between production characters of F1 and F2 generations in most of cases. It is necessary to direct attention at breeding for higher spike accumulation capacity through increasing the grains number per spike
