A high requirement of the care and treatment is closely related to requirements for quality and reliability forestry machines and technological equipment. The paper deals with the analysis of one operational reliability parameter of observed forest felling machines. It analyses the failure intensity of harvesters and by John Deere, by the FMEA method. The paper reflects the problems of present forestry connected to reliability of used machines. The failure intensity shows the way of failure appearance of individual observed machines.
