Combining ability on yeild of different drought tolerance maize inbred lines by diallel cross

The combining ability of inbred lines is reflected by their hereosis in different crossbreeding combinations wherein these lines participated. Therefore in order to evaluate the hybrids created by using diallel cross. In Autumn 2002 and Spring 2003 crops in 2 different locations, Dan Phuong, Ha Tay and TNUAF, Thai Nguyen. The results of the study have shown that among 8 inbred lines tested three lines T4, T8 and T6, have high general combining ability in both testing locations and T5 has high combination ability in Thai Nguyen. The specific combining ability of T8 with T4 and T5 is high in the two locations.
