The article presents the results of the study on the spatial planning for eco-tourism development in Xuan Lien natural reserve - Thuong Xuan district - Thanh Hoa province, with an area of 23,475 hectares. Specifically, evaluated the basic characteristics of eco-tourism resources as well as the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges for eco-tourism development in the study area; has built the projects of space planning for eco-tourism development, includes: analyzing the regional relationship of tourism development, the functional zones planning, tourist routing, destination planning and detail planning landscape architecture for some of important areas. Such achieved results of the article have significantly contributed to alleviation of problems in the strategy of exploiting and developing ecotourism in Xuan Lien natural reserve.
