Study on yield of grass and legume under infertile soil at Khon Kaen [Thailand]

The experiment was carried out at Khon Kaen Northeast Thailand for 2 years. The design was 4x4 Factorial in RCB Design and consisted of 16 combinations of grass and legume species. Results showed that Guinea (Panicum maximum) and Signal (Brachiaria decumbens) were well adapted as compared to other grasses. Guinea grew faster than Signal only during the first establisment year. Data on yield of grasses and legumes are also reported.
