A Study of natural nematode infection in buffalo calves
1988
Vichitr Sukhapesna (Department of Livestock Development, Bangkok (Thailand). Veterinary Research Div.)
Natural nematode infection was studied in 10 buffalo calves raised with their dams in the stalls since they were born. It was found that cows were the main sources to disseminate Strongyloides papillosus and Neoascaris vitulorum to the calves. The calves were infected with S. papillosus by their dams' milk, and they were infected with N. vitulorum by their dams' placenta.
