Inheritance of lobed leaflets and multiple leaflets in mungbean (Vigna radiata (L) Wilczek)
1987
Wiboon Sripisut
Lobed and trifoliate leaflets were dominant over normal and multiple leaflets. Each trait was governed by a single locus of gene locating on different chromosomes. In F2 progenies was found that the lobed leaflet and trifoliate leaflet mungbeans tended to produce higher yield and more number of pods per plant than the normal leaflet mungbean. Further selections for high yielding lines should be conducted in order to confirm yield of lobed trifoliate leaflet type of mungbean or other mungbean lines having other leaflet type
