Farm management of Plant Sciences Division, Agricultural Colleges in Northeastern Region [Thailand], Department of Vocational Education
1987
Charoen Iamsupasit
Agricultural Colleges in the Northeastern Region had only 100-300 rai of farm land and a portion of this land was not suitable for farming. This was due to lack of water during the summer season, flooding during rainy season, and lack of manpower and farm equipments. Farms were divided into sections according to the type of plants, the condition of farm land and the local market situation. Most of the farms put more emphasis on the production of up-land crops, orchards, vegetables, and soil improvement. Most of the problems that occurred in the farm management were caused by lack of professionals, workers, budget and the condition of the land that was not suitable for growing plants.
