Study of Marek's disease in 3 to 38 week-old native chickens raised in the experimental farm of the Northeast Agricultural and Cooperative Office showed that the birds had signs of lameness or paralysis of legs, pale face and emaciation. Cross enlargements of the nerve and lymphoid tumors of the visceral organs and muscles were found at autopsy. Microscopically, infiltration and proliferation of pleomorphic lymphoid cells in such organs and non-supperative encephalitis were presented.
