Microscopic exam of infected fishes, Ophiocephalus striatus, sampling from natural habitat at Bangbo and Bangpree of Samutprakarn Province, and three sites of cultivated fishes sample from Bangbo, Sampran at Nakorn Pathom Province and Bangplama at Supunburi Province. All together 117 fishes from natural habitat were found lesions, and only 26 lesions were infected by fungus. The cultivated fish was sampling 147 in number, 53 lesions were found infected by mold. The lesions were classified into four stages, viz, severe Chronic ulcer, Chronic ulcer, early and healing stages. The severe Chronic ulcer always found associated with the fungus. Some lesions found fungal hyphae in chronic ulcer stage and few lesions in early stage. However, never seen hyupha in the healing stage. Not all Chronic ulcers have been infected by the fungus, Achlya sp. The Achlya sp. should not be the primary etiological agent, and the other reason was the area sampling has not been applied antibacterial antibiotic which effected on increasing of the propagation of the fungal in the certain peroid of time.
