Experiment was conducted in late December, 1983 at Kampaengsaen Research Station of Kasetsart University using disc plow with immediate rotary cultivator for good tillage. Sugarcane variety, Supan-1, with 150 x 50 cm. spacing was planted in the furrow at 3", 6", 9", 12" and the highest depth of bedder. The treatments with two replications were planted in 10 row plots and 10 samples were also recorded on its yield components. The result showed that the depth of 6" and 9" gave 12.5 and 11.7 tonnes per rai respectively as compared to other treatments which yields were decreased. The experiment also found that the death of stool per rai at the depth of 6" and 9" was less than other treatments as follow; 4.7 and 1 % respectively. The conclusion is that Supan-1, planted in dry season, gave highest biomass per rai per year with the depth of 6-9" and harvested at 12 month.
