Effect of gibberellic acid on fruit production and fruit quality of mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana Linn.)

Study on the influence of gibberellic acid at the concentration of 0.8, 1.6, 3.2 ppm sprayed to the mangosteen tree (Garcinia mangostana Linn.) at full bloom was conducted at the Lung Soon Orchard, Rayong Province. Gibberellic acid at 3.2 ppm sprays at 50 % anthesis gave the best fruit production while the other treatments did not give any significant difference on fruit set nor fruit quality improvement compared to the control ones.
