Effects of 3-nitro on productive performances and hematologic value in growing pigs
1988
Somchai Suwanpradit
Twenty four pigs were used to evaluate the performances and hematologic values by feeding 3-nitro in randomized complete block design with 3 treatments and 4 replications. The pigs were fed 3 levels of 3-nitro 0, 45 and 90 gm/ton for 60 days. At 30 days of the experiment the result showed significant difference in body weight gain and feed conversion rate (p0.05) between the pigs fed 3-nitro 90 gm/ton and the control. However, there was no significant difference between the pigs fed 3-nitro 45 and 90 gm/ton but the performances of both improved. At the end of the experiment there was no significant difference but the performances of the 3-nitro fed pigs tended to improve and hematocrit and hemoglobin values of the pigs tended to be higher than the control.
