Raxil 25 DS and Baytan 25 WS were applied to seeds of barley (IBON 118) before planting. The experiment was conducted from December 1986 to March 1987 at the Agricultural Research and Training Center. The wet application of Raxil 10 g.ai had a tendency to control Leaf Rust and Spot blotch better than that of Baytan. Baytan had no effect on controlling blast but Raxil applied in powder from 10 d showed to be able to. Seed dressing by using Raxil 10 g.ai were most effective in controlling Spot blotch and Leaf Rust in this experiment. Using of Baytan applied in wet form reduced seed germination in both 20 and 40 g(ai) while that of Raxil 20 g(ai) in both wet and powder form had no effect. Using of Raxil 20 g(ai) in wet form also reduced seed germination. Plant height, 100 seeds weight and grain yield showed no difference among treatments.
