Needs for knowledge of writing agricultural booklets for extension services of agricultural college teachers in the Northeastern region

Population were agricultural college teachers from eleven provinces in the Northeast. Two hundred and fourty two teachers drawn from the population received the questionnaires by mail. Eighty six percent of questionnaires were returned. Most of the samples were male with the average age of 39 years, who obtained the Bachelor degree in plant science, had nine years of service, and received 6,100 baht of salaries. They had writing experience with no training course and inquired the knowledge in producing media, writing skills, and compiling content respectively. They had indicated the highest concern of booklets for vocational project for the rural areas and the lower was Advisory project for the farmers. The essential factors to the needs for knowledge were the Vocational Project for the rural areas, The Writing Project in the different region and the Advisory Project for the farmers. Teachers from the departments of plant science, agricultural mechanic and agricultural business had different needs for knowledge. Most of the problems of producing agricultural booklets were in the moderate level.
