1990
Paitoon Eiamsirikulmit
Production and marketing condition of growers in Eastern Region of Thailand were developed and had good knowledge in group-activity, so it was possible to develop production system to give quality output. For exporters, they agreed with the idea to set up the center and want to use service of the center. Government officials, they also agreed with the idea to set up this center, and are ready to support technology and data that required. Above all, quantity of production in Eastern Region is enough to set up Exporting Center. For suitable location may be Rayong Province because it had enough infrastructure. In order to minimize the risk in investment, operation of the center in the short-run should be in temporary and experimental type, but its operation must be close to the standard. If proved to be successful, permanent center should be established together with an increase in storage services. Center is composed of the operator, service-companies, related government units and the customers. Operation should be a cooperation between government and private, or private sector with the assistance from the government. Operation cost of the center will come from the fees collected from the customers at a reasonable rate.
