Effect of carbaryl on human lymphocytes

Carbaryl could induce 52.66 % chromosome aberration while the control group treated with distrilled water and DMSO had 10.75 and 13.25 %. The distributions of aberration types were chromatid bread 38.69 %, acentric chromosome 21.14 %, dicentric chromosome 9.83 %, ring chromosome 6.36 % and satellite association 1.56 %. The endoreduplication, quadiradial configuration and polyploid types were also observed but considered to be in very small numbers. Higher concentrations of carbaryl the greater number of chromosome aberration were found. And prolonging the incubation time caused a decrease in the amount of dicentric chromosome
