Participation of members in agricultural coopperatives: A comparative study between klongluang agricultural cooperative Ltd. and Lamlukka agricultural cooperative Ltd.

Objectives of this research were to study the participation of members in agricultural cooperative between Klongluang Agricultural Cooperative Ltd. and Lumlukka Agricultural Cooperative Ltd. The hypothesis of this research is the success of the cooperative depends on members' paticipation. The data is derived from multistage and simple random sampling interviews by questionnaires with 76 members from Klongluang Agricultural Cooperative Ltd. and 90 members from Lumlukka Agricultural Cooperative Ltd. The statistical methods used in data analysis, percentage and Chi-square. The results of this research find the most of both members rents the land from the other landlord and gets net income less than 10,000 Baht per annual. The participation in business, etc. buying, borrowing, saving. Members of Klongluang Agriultural Cooperative Ltd. have higher ratio. The participation in administration finds the general assembly, group assembly, voting are not different. The earning return finds both members satisfied indifferently and training in occupation of Lumlukka Agricultural Cooperative Ltd. has participated in higher ratio 98:70, training in new occupation is not different. The test chi-square finds the participation of both members in cooperative activities is not different and reject the hypothesis.
