Comparative study on nutritive value of Leucaena leaves (LL), Water-soaked Leucaena leaves (WSL) and mild extruded water-soaked leucaena leaves mixed with cassava (MEWLC) in growing (30 kgs) and finishing (35 kgs) pigs. Each experiment had twelve male pigs which were divided into 4 groups of 3 animals. Each group of the animals was randomly fed one of the experimental diets as following, protein free diet, leucaena leaves diet, Water-soaked leucaena leaves diet and mild extruded water-soaked leucaena leaves mixed with cassava diet, according to a completely randomized design (CRD). In growing pigs. WSL and MEWLC increased digestibility coefficient of dry matter (DDM) compared with LL significantly (P0.05) and MEWLC had slightly better DDM than WSL but not significantly (P0.05), MEWLC increased digestibility coefficient of protein (D) compared with LL significantly (P0.05) and had slightly better DCP than WSL but not significantly (P0.05) in the same as WSL vs LL. MEWLC increased biological value, Net protein Utilization. Digestible energy and Metabolizable energy compared with WSL and LL significantly (P0.05) but WSL had slightly better nutritive value than LL but not significanlty (P0.05). The result of comparison on nutritive value of MEWLC, WSL and LL in finishing pigs had nutritive value same as in growing pigs but finishing pigs had a nutritive value of 3 leucaena groups higher than growing pigs
