Unilateral eyestalk ablation of Jumbo Tiger Prawn (Penaeus monodon) resulted in ovarian development of 22 female prawns, but only five of them were spawned. Cannibalism, serious injury suffered from ablation, protozoan infestation (Zoothamnium sp. and Acineta sp.) bacteria (Filamentous bacteria and Vibrio sp.) and diatom (Nitzschia sp.) occurred and led to the average mortality rate of 58.67 %.
