Soybean cv. Nakornsawan No.1 seeds were coated with Stafresh 360 wax and Neofresh wax or left uncoated. They were stored in open trays and sealed polyethylene bags at ambient conditions for 6 months. The quality and storage life of seeds were evaluated every month on the basis of moisture content, standard germination test, field emergence test, accelerated aging test and storability index value. Storage in sealed polyethylene bags can prolong the storage life up to 6 months. The uncoated seeds gave better result than coated seed. In open storage conditions can be stored for only 2 months. Waxing resulted in increased moisture content of seeds, aggravated the occurance of browning at the cotyledons. Therefore, using uncoated seeds in sealed polyethlylene bags is the best method of storage for soybean seeds.
