From 1070.5 mm in Nakorn Ratchasima to 2324.3 mm in Nakorn Panom. The rainy from 101.1 days at Kosum Pisai, Mahasarakham to 138.0 days at Nakorn Panom. Rainfall can be described in two types a bell curve which occurs in Nakorn Panom, Mukdahan and Ubon Ratchathani and double bell curve which occurs in the most of the provinces. The average lowest temperature is in Jan. (13.4 degree C) in Loei and the extreme low is 0.1 degree c. The average highest temperature isin April (37.7 degree c) in Thatum, Surin and the extreme highest is 42.7 degree C. Loei and Nakhon Phanom have less solar radiation, the average 430 and 439 cal/square m/day. The rest of the provinces in the Northeast have and average of 454-472 cal/square m/day. The average evaporation from white color pan was 4.0 mm/day which was lower than that of grey color pan (5.0 mm/day). The lowest evaporation was 1.7 mm/day occurred during a continuation of rainy days, highest evaporation was 8.0 mm/day occurs during late of March to April. The potential evapotranspiration studied during 1986 to 1990 at Khon Kaen, it was found to be low (2.8 mm/day) during December, where the average highest was 6.0 mm/day occured during April.
