Varietal observation and sowing periods for soybean disease escaping

Seven recommended soybean varieties were grown at fifteen days interval during July to September 1989. This experiment was located at Prao with without fungicide application. There were many diseases epidemics such as downy mildew, rust, crinkle leaf virus, bacterial pustule, yellow orange leaf spot, anthracnose, purple seed stain, stem canker and charcoal rot. No need for fungicidal application were allowed to produce grain production in early wet season. In the case of planting in late wet season, It was necessary for spraying fungicide diseased control to produce both seed and grain production.
