Mangrove forest in Samuthprakarn Province has been destroyed by means of human activities such as the expatsion of the community and the construction of factories with an inadequate standard of waste water treatment control. The construction of road along the coastal line around the upper area of the gulf of Thailand to prevent flooding. The part of road cutting across the mangrove forest of Wat Asokaram. This road causes irrgulae accessing of sea water which affects severe changes of soil and water conditions, causing water logging and stinking during raining seasons. The soil is extremely dry during summer and becomes acid soil which destroys the fibrous roof system of mangrove forest. Lots of animals living in the soil die because they cannot the condition of acid soil and cannot evaculate in time. A group of Haad-Amara-ugsornlukvittaya school was led to investigate an area of Wat Asokaram where the mangrove forest has being destroyed in order to study the ecological system and start a trial plaintation project. The project was sponsored by Shinawaytra group and the Science Teacher Association of Thailand. Involving in this procect: students recognized that the mangrove resources are inportant for their community. Their expectation is revive the mangrove forest of Wat Asokaram to be good condition for many flora and fauna as well as to be the source for the ecological study of general students. They are aware of conservation of mangroveforest for sutstainable useful.
