Trial was conducted to study the effects of fertilizer rates and spacings (populations) on grain yield of hybrid corn at 4 sites in Chumphon's area. The split-split plot design was used with 4 replicates. The results showed that grain yield (only 3 sites) was increased significantly when the population was increased from 8,533 to 10,667 plants/rai. Significant differences were not observed on grain yield when the fertilizer rate was increased from 25 to 100 kg/rai except at site 4 only. DK 888 gave high grain yields at all sites whereas KTX 3501 gave low grain yields. The interaction between cultivar and population was also observed (only 1 site). The recommendation for the suitable fertilizer rate and population differed from site to site according to the net income analysis.
