System comprised of a conveying tract, deer yard and compressing crush. The yard had four equal rooms inside. In Room IV of the yard, a compressing crush was installed. Three efficiency tests of systems were performed by chasing Sambar deer (Cervus unicolor) from paddocks and retaining in the tract, Room I, II, III, and IV, consecutively. Deer successfully herded into systems for those 3 trials were 2, 1, 1, 0 and 0; 3, 2, 1, 1 and 1 and 8, 8, 8, 8 and 8 animals, respectively. Injured deer found only in the tract retention to be 1 and 2 heads for the first and second trials. None were hurt in the third trial. Times spent for calming down the deer were 35+-5.0 and 7.7+-2.0 minutes as average in Room I and II.
