Study on sex steroid level of red snapper, Lutianus argentimaculatus from hatchery started from 3 years 10 months average weight of 2.36+-0.17 kg by RIA method for 20 months. Results showed estradiol-17 beta (E2) level was not much varied in the first 12 months but showed distant peak during August to October in the last 14 months studies. This was the same period of Testosterone peak and GSI was also high during this period, indicated natural spawning season during these month. However, small peak was during March to May which could be other spawning period. Progesterone levels varied and high during March to June and low level in August lowest in November which before and after spawning season respectively. Estradiol and testosterone levels in red snapper were higher than in human but progesterone level was lower.
