1998
Paradee Kala
Potential of Petchaburi river in summer, rainy and winter seasons to carrying capacity of Hg, Pb, Cd, Ni, and Cr in overflow wastewater from Petchaburi municipal wastewater treatment system was carried cut in 1997. The 44 water samples were collected from Petchaburi River(6), Petchaburi Municipal(12), Lagoon treatment(6), and Petchaburi coastal area(20). Carrying capacity of Petchaburi river in all seasons when its flowed pass through Petchaburi city had potentially to carry heavy metal in overflow wastewater to 799.4, 1,713.1 and 3,254.9 cubic m/day in summer, rainy and winter seasons respectively. Hg in winter season was found 0.004 mg/l that exceed the standard quality of surface water. Petchaburi River at Ban Laem gulf had more heavy metals contaminated than Bang Taboon gulf because of more communities and of more activities in this area and exceed the atandard quality of surface water. In all seasons at coastal area, Hg was exceed the standard quality of sea water at range 0.0005-0.0002 mg/l while the rest were lower.
