Study of Dendrobium Sonia "BOM 18" tissue culture by using an air exchange system and an air flow system compared with a sheaker systerm. The results showed that protocorms like body (PLBs) cultured in an air exchange system which each cover attached with filter membrane and in sheaker system were produced in the same growth rate, PLBs could develop to healthy plantlets and rooting on Vacin and Went medium containing 15 percent Coconut water, 50 g/l banana homogenate, 2 g/l activated charcoal and 20 g/l sucrose. In case of PLBs cultured in an air flow system, its growth rate was increased by 80 percent of fresh weight more than when compared to that of sheaker system in 30 days. An air flow will greatly benefit future to accelerate mass propagation of protocorms from orchid tissue culture.
