Walking type green whole stalk sugarcane harvester fabricated was having total weight of 720 kg, total length of 4,330 mm and total width of 2,250 mm. Eight horsepower diesel engine was used as the power source and the local made two wheel hand tractor transmission gear was used for travelling function. The clutch was attached in order to separate the travel transmission system and other transmission systems such as the feeding mechanism, the cutter blade and delivery mechanism. The hydraulic system was used for levelling the frame and cutter blade. With the engine speed was 1,800 rpm and the forward speed of the harvester was 14.2 m/min would have the field capacity of 0.8 rai/hr or harvesting capacity of 10 t/hr if the average production was 12.5 t/rai. The developed detrasher comprised three main parts of screw, feed roller and sling brush. The sugarcane was fed from the top of the prototype. The detrashing efficiency was about 75 percent and the detrashing capacity was 2,500 stalk/hr as the power source speed was 800 rpm.
