Field experiment at Lampang province was conducted in order to study the comparative responses of peanut var. Tainan 9 and peanut promissing line KUP 24D-421 to the applications of phosphorus (P), potassium (K) and sulfur (S). The characteristics of the soils were clay loam texture, available phosphorus 3-4 ppmP, available potassium 60-70 ppmK and available sulfur 68-76 ppmS. The results can be concluded both peanut varieties showed response to phosphorus application. The high rate of 9 kg P2O5 per rai of phosphorus application gave the better yields than those of the low rate of 4.5 kg P2O5 per rai in the manner that the dried pod yield of KUP 24D-421 was significantly higher than that Tainan 9. There was the tendency that Tainan 9 slightly responded to S whereas no any response to either K or S was observed in the case of KUP 24D-421.
