ISO 14000: It's importance to the future of tiger prawn culture Industry

On the occurrence of environment conservation has rapidly increased in the world today. The environmental management system standards or ISO 14000 has been accepted for the standard of the industrial production by more than 30 countries. The ISO 14000 is more concern the product quality and assessment the environment of life cycle of the product. Marine shrimp culture industry in Thailand may faced with this regulation. The ISO 14000 will be announced by the Royal Thai Government for standardization of industrial product in 1996. The private sectors, farmers and concern government agencies should have to set the environmental management system standard of marine shrimp farm production to meet the standard of the ISO 14000.
