Experiment was conducted at Faculty of Agriculture, Bangpra, Chonburi form November 4 to December 30, 1995. The experimental design was 3*2 factorial+check in RCB with 3 replications. The treatments were factor A: spraying with neem extract+bacterial insecticide (Bt), chemical insecticide (carbaryl+permethrin) and only neem extract, factor B: planting with coriander and without coriander. Planting without coriander which non-spraying was check. The experimental plot size was 1.5*5 m. The result showed that chemical insecticide spraying (5.48 kg/3.75 square m) (except guard rows) gave higher yield than neem extract+bacterial insecticide and only neem extract spraying (4.64 and 3.68 kg/3.75 square m, respectively). Planting with coriander tended to decrease yield of Chinese kale; however, it was not different from planting without coriander (4.29 and 4.91 kg/3.75 square m, respectively). Damaged yield of Chinese kale planting with coriander was less than that planting wihtout coriander (0.49 and 1.05 kg/3.75 sqm, respectively). Number of larvae of Spodoptera litura in chemical control was less than in non-chemical control (neem extract and bacterial insecticide). There was not different in number of larvae of S. litura between planting with and without coriander. There were not different in number of clusters of egg and the first larvae of S. litura, aphid (clusters), Hellula undalis (larvae), Trichoplusia ni (larvae), and Plutella xylostella (larvae) for 2 factors; however, all treated were different from check in the study. Yield of coriander which interplanted with Chinese kale was about 3.5 kg/7.5 square m.
