Study on the agricultural technology transfer results by field trip method of the people interested in agriculture

Objectives of this research were to study the results of the agricultural technology transfer by field trip method of the people interested in agriculture, their background, and their opinions on the conduction of the field trip, including their problems and recommendations. The data were collected by using questionnaire from 109 people interested in agriculture and statistically analysed for percentage, arithmetic mean, and Z-test. The result were revealed that the studied people were 61.47 percent female, 49.54 percent getting bachelor's degree, 38.53 percent personal business occupation and 44.89 years of average age, and 55.96 percent got field trip information from newspapers. The results of the field trip found that they were most satisfied on Khao Kho Talay Pu (3.74 scores) and Phooroua Highland Agricultural Experiment Station (3.52 scores), and the field trip to Khao Kho Talay Pu was most useful (3.71 scores). The studied people's opinions on the knowledge application from the field trip were moderate level for all 4 places (Phooroua Wanotayan Grape Orchard, Phooroua Highland Agricultural Experiment Station, Suan Nam Fon, and Khao Kho Talay Pu) and it was also found that their knowledge on the visited places before and after the field trip were all statistically significant different at the level of .01. For the conduction of the field trip, the studied people were very satisfied on the supervisor (3.83 scores), the driver and assistant (3.68 scores), the bus (3.62 scores), program (3.55 scores), timing of the field trip (3.53 scores), lodging (3.51 scores), and field trip fee (3.50 scores).
