B-mode, Real-Time Ultrasound with 5 MHz Linear Array Transducer were used for pregnancy examination. Twenty five female dogs with different gestation period were examined. During early gestation period (19-29 days), round or oval embryonic vesicles with embryo in embryonic fluid were seen. Embryonic heart activity was detected at about 21-22 days of gestation and was seen easily in the middle and late gestation. At 30-35 days of gestation, the embryo developed hypoechoic head and body with embryonic movement. After 36 days of gestation the hyperechoic skeleton, hypoechoic organs and embryonic activities can be clearly identified.
