Indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method was developed to detect antibodies to Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus (IBRV) in 1,000 dairy cattle sera. Viral antigen was grown in bovine embryo kidney BEK cell line. Sensitivity, specificity and efficiency of the test was compared to serum neutralization (SN) test. Using SN test as the standard, indirect ELISA showed values of 96.46, 87.20 and 90.60 percent, respectively.
