Sub-lanka Bamboo Forest is a livelihood source of community forest's households. This study is aimed to evaluate the economic value in terms of the resource stock and the commodity flow of bamboo forest resources. At present, bamboo culm is under-utilized whereas bamboo shoot is, in contrast, over-utilized. Given the existing level of management practice of government and community, it is likely that sustainable use of the bamboo forest cannot be achieved in the long run.
