Parasitism of sclerotia of Rhizoctonia solani, a casual agent of rice sheath blight disease, by soil protozoa was in vestigated. Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) was used to demonstrate the causal agent which initiated such damage. Protocol normally used in specimen preparation for human pathological diagnosis was applied in fungal specimen preparation. TEM micrographs obtained showed satisfactorily image quality.
