This study was aimed to compile and discuss the research both on the salinization mechanism and the management of saline soil and to develop the research results into practice in the northeast of Thailand. These include the reclamation of saline soil to be productive, and prevention of the spread of salinity as well as an effective and efficient exploitation of the land aiming at the increase of yield and income of the farmers.
