Irradiation with gamma ray at 8 kGy of a mixture of natural rubber latex, 5 phr of n-butyl acrylate (n-BA), and 0.1 phr of tert-butyl hydroperoxide (HPO), yielded a radiated valcanization natural rubber latex (RVNRL). It was found that the viscosity of this product decreased with the storage time Various kinds of antioxidants were added to RVNRL, it revealed that the physical properties of the films after aging (at 100 deg C for 22 hours) was improved. Nonox WSL, Valcanox KB and Vulcanox MB2/Mg gave the high tensile strength at break (Tb) at low concentration. Examination gloves prepared from RVNRL, in the presence of 0.5 phr of Vulcanox KB. After being leached with water at 50 deg C for 3 min., the resulting products showed Tb of 21 MPa and 20 MPa before and after aging respectively.
