Expert system for predicting groundwater pollution vulnerability

Knowledge from established literature was developed into an expert system. The skeleton of expert system for predicting groundwater pollution vulnerability was established by using CLIPS (NASA's Jonson Space Centre). The epert system that was produced for purpose with groundwater aspect in preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report involved making use of the results of prediction to be use as the components of EIA reports submitted to Department Of Environment (DOE). Expert system runs on knowledge of the if-else concept. The knowledge of expert system could be extracted from the sources; 1. Domain experts, 2. Established literature, 3. Field research. This paper describes the expert system skeleton that was base on the three knowledge incorporated with reasoning and inference engine.
