Safety period for postponing drying or other post-harvest treatment were investigated. Safety period depended on the storage condition and moisture content of ear maize. If samples were stored in a thin layer and with well natural ventilation, even samples with high moisture content could be stored for long time and samples would be gradually dried. Samples at high moisture range of around 25 percent were easily contaminated during short period storage, if stored under humid or less ventilated condition. However, higher moisture content of samples over 30 percent was infected by other fungi more than A. flavus. And Aflatoxin contamination was also lower than ear maize of 25 percent moisture content.
