Trial was conducted to determine the impacts of the utilization of coconut meal or copra meal (CM) and palm kernel cake (PKC) in complete feed or total mixed rations (TMR) on voluntary intake and the productive performance of female yearling. Twelve animals averaging 192.92+-25 kilogram were used. The four groups of animals were fed 4 differing experimental diets in RCBD. The diets were (1) control diet (roughage and concentrate separately fed), (2) PKC in TMR, (3) CM in TMR and (4) PKC and CM in TMR. The animals were housed in individual stalls throughout 120 days of the experiment. The results indicated that the cattle fed on TMR diets consumed less (P LT 0.01) voluntary feed intake than the animals fed on control diet. Average voluntary feed intakes on the animals in each group were 7.53, 6.60, 6.70 and 6.88 kilogram per day respectively. The feed conversion ratios of cattle in each group were 8.55, 7.01, 7.11 and 7.12 respectively (P LT 0.05). Feed cost per kilogram weight gain were 46.60, 38.97, 37.70 and 38.91 baht per kilogram respectively (P LT 0.05). However, the growth rate or average daily gain of the cattle among the treatments was not significantly different (P GT 0.05). The average body gain was 0.88, 0.94, 0.94 and 0.96 kilogram per day respectively.
