Postemergence application of diphenyl ethers for broadleaf weed control in soybean

Diphenyl ethers provided good broadleaf weed control when applied at the time not later than 2 weeks after soybean germination. The susceptibility of weeds to herbicides were in the order Trianthema portulacastrum GT Amaranthus hybridus GT Euphorbia heterophylla. High rates of herbicides caused more phytotoxicity to soybean than at low rates. The phytotoxicity of herbicides to soybean were in order lactofen GT acifluorfen GT Formesafen. The tolerance of soybean were in the order S.J.5 GT while lion GT AGS 205 GT AGS 305.
