122 cm Wide by 245 cm Long by 127 cm high. Dryer was built for herb. It consisted of air heater 1500 watt 220 volt 2 items and 9.54 cm diameter by 360 cm high natural draft air vent cylinder with a fan built in the bottom and in the left and right side of dryer. The transparent cover plate made of 2 mm thick acrylic and the absorber plate made of black curve zinc plate. In april 24, 2001. The slice of turmeric with initial moisture content of 80 percent wb was dried to 50 percent wb and the drying was about 5 hours and 45 minute. The minimum of temperature was 37.0 deg C and the maximum was 48.2 deg C and the entrance was 52.2 deg C. The overall average was 44.725 deg C in the dryer. The different of temperature between the temperature detecting point was 3 deg C. The drying rate was 0.869 kg water/hour.
