Comparative study on growth, root system and yield of 10 ecotypes of vetiver namely: Sri Lanka, Loei, Nakorn Sawan, Kamphaeng Phet 1, Kamphaeng Phet 2, Roi Et, Ratchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani and Songkla 3 was conducted at Amphur Muang, Nan Province on Chieng Khan soil series. The study showed that only 5 ectoypes namely Sri Lanka, Loei, Kamphaeng Phet 2, Surat Thani and songkla 3 showed good tillering, better growth with the average height of more than 100 cm and more than 20 tillers per plant.
